7/21/08 Update:

Recording files (mp3) of the Winter 2007 Concert are located here. Many thanks to Karen Carp and her husband Jerry Callistein for their hard work making these available. Rip, listen, download, burn, etc. The Spring 2008 concert should be posted soon, so check back often.

Important Concert Dates for FALL/WINTER 2008: Save the date:

F.Scott Fitzgerald Theater Concert: Sunday December 21, call time 6:30 pm
Rehearsal at F.Scott Saturday 12/20 9-11 am
Rehearsal at F.Scott Monday 12/15 7:30-9:30 pm

Other Fall Concerts TBD, but may include: National Lutheran Home (traditionally our "warm-up" to the main concert the weekend before), a Veteran's Day Benefit (???), a Monday evening at a nursing home (however Hanukkah falls on the Monday after our main concert.) For more performance opportunities, please consider joining the Rockville Singers outreach group, especially if you would like to perform solos, duets, etc.

AUDITIONS FOR THE FALL 2008 season will be on Monday evening, September 8, beginning around 6:30 pm. Please contact Julie Farrell, Arts Programs Specialist at 240-314-8682 or email: jfarrell@rockvillemd.gov  to schedule an appointment.

• We have had a summer BBQ get-together in the past, however, Caroline Dodge's house will not be available this year, so if you are interested in hosting this summer, let us know and we will help you plan and get the word out!

Who We Are The Rockville Chorus is sponsored by the City of Rockville Department of Recreation and Parks, Arts Division (since 1972).      The Rockville Chorus is led through the professional direction of Bryan Seith (since 1991) and piano accompaniment by Dick Gilbert.   The Rockville Chorus is comprised of approximately 50 volunteer members who have been selected via an audition process and enjoy performing a varied repertoire.   The Rockville Chorus Board (comprised of chorus members) provides administration for the organization.

What We Do Provide free choral concerts for the Rockville community and regional audiences.    Present two concerts annually (May and December) in the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre at Rockville Civic Center Park.   Perform many other concerts throughout the immediate region in a variety of venues.   Sing a varied repertoire that often features works from leading composers including Bach, Britten, Mozart, Rutter, Hindemuth, Thompson, Vaughan Williams, Shaw, as well as many others.  The Rockville Chorus also periodically performs/introduces works by local composers.   Rehearse weekly Monday evenings at the Rockville Senior Center (1150 Carnation Drive).   Pay a membership fee of approximately $50 each season (Fall & Spring) directly to the Rockville Chorus treasury.
